Meet the Artist

Welcome to my website! My name is Rae. I work in a plethora of different types of mediums, ranging from charcoal to printmaking to digital art!~I'm a university graduate with a Degree in Studio Art and Design.Ever since I was a child, I've been fascinated by the fantastical and I had always wanted an opportunity to be able to translate all my story ideas into something that others could enjoy and relate to.In recent times, I have become enthralled in the world anatomical biological illustration and have been trying to incorporate it into my studies as well as my more fleshed out pieces.The core of my work focuses on interpersonal relationships and desperately trying to navigate them while not fully knowing my identity and who I want to become.

Meet Usurpent, the cryptid from the depths

Say "Hello!!" to my mascot and persona, Usu! He's a hybrid creature from the deep depths of the ocean. Be gentle with him because he will fall apart-...Usu is heavily featured in my work as a way for me to translate my feelings about my identity and interpersonal relationships into subversive scenarios.

You MUST read the terms and conditions before you commission me or purchase an adopt.
By purchasing a commission or an adopt you affirm to have read and agree to be legally bound by the following Terms of Service. Not abiding to the rules, may result in receiving a strike or ultimately being blacklisted/banned from all of my further sales and activities.

Payment

• All commissions are to be paid in USD.• I have the right to refuse any commission offer without needing to give a reason.• If you plan on commissioning me for NSFW or suggestive art, please provide me with proper proof that you are 18 or older such as an ID (i.e. Your license). If you do not provide me with proof of your age, I will refuse your commission.• I have the right to post any of my commissions on social media for portfolio purposes.• I ask that ALL commissions under $150 are to be paid in full before I begin working.• Commissions above $150 MUST have at least HALF paid after the sketch/concept stage.• Commissions over $300 can be split into 3 installments.
---> First payment will made in 35% / 45%/ 20% payments (in order)

  1. First payment will be made before the sketch has begun

  2. Second payment will be made once the lining has begun

  3. Final payment will made once the coloring has begun (A very low-res screenshot of the finished piece will be given to you till the final payment installment is paid.)

• If you want the file, transparent version, specific file type, or print size, you must tell me BEFORE starting.• Any changes to the commission after the final stage will be charged an extra fee.• You are allowed to repost it anywhere you want (preferably the watermarked version and with the proper credit given)

Rights & Usage

Artist Rights
I, Usurpent, retain copyright, ownership, redistribution and intellectual property rights for all of my work. Which includes, but is not limited to, display and advertising the the work I create and work in progress on websites, social media, portfolios, public broadcast channels (i.e. YT, Twitch) and more.I will not reproduce/sell/print/etc. the artworks you order for my own profit. I'll use them only as advertising for my business as artist.In certain cases, you may ask for a Non-disclosure Agreement (privacy) fee after which I won't publish commissioned artwork.

Commissions are for PERSONAL USE ONLY (unless discussed otherwise) for the commissioner.
---> If you wish to use my pieces for commercial use or merchandising, I will apply an extra 35% fee.
---> EXACT details of how the commission will be used commercially MUST be discussed. If any plans change, you must discuss it with me first before going ahead with your plans.• UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN YOU MAKE NTFs OR ANY CRYPTO OUT OF MY WORK

Cancellation & Refund Policy

By commissioning me (Usurpent) acknowledges, you hereby acknowledge that all work and deliverables are digital and there are no physically shipped goods to receive.Once work has begun, refunds are will no longer be possible unless initiated by the me.
If I cannot complete work within timely manner (past the latest predicted turnaround time) or there are delays for unforeseen reasons, you are eligible for a full refund.If some of the work has been done up to this point is accepted and/or used by you in any way, I will provide a partial refund only (based on amount of work done up to moment of refund).
